Three Months Old

February 20th, 2011
William is three months old now, and seems to be growing so fast! He has started "talking" to us quite a bit. Sorry this video is sideways, I can't flip it for some reason, but it is the best one we have of the conversations Will likes to have with us. He especially likes to talk to his Dad while doing tummy time and listening to music. Will seems to get a little camera shy whenever we try to capture his vocals but this one is pretty good.  He is also very camera shy when it comes to smiling, but that is another thing that he has been rewarding his mom and dad with. Will also successfully flipped over all by himself from his tummy to his back a few days ago! He seemed just as surprised as we were, but demonstrated his new skill for us a few times just to prove he's got it down!

Go Green Bay!

Can you guess who Adam and William were routing for during the superbowl? What a great game...
Go Packers!

Two Months Old

January 20th, 2011. 12 lbs 2 oz. and 21.5 inches

William loves the moby wrap sling, he spends a lot of time in it while mom does chores, takes Rose out for a walk, or does the shopping! As you can see he often falls asleep while riding along with his mom.

Play time with Dad!

William's first trip to California

Mommy Play Date:
Ellie with Rhonen and Jackson, Aimee with Samuel (and one on the way), Whitney with Adaline and Hannah, Niki with Chloe, Jace and Jalee, and Me with William

William with his new friend Jackson
When William was seven weeks old he and I traveled to California to visit Grandma and Grandpa Nixon and so he could meet some of his relatives and some future best friends! We flew into Sacramento and got to see his great aunt June, who gave him tons of love! Then we headed to Chico where his mommy's best friend Ellie put together a little mommy play-date with some of my friends and their children. Will had a great time getting to know some of his new friends (but mostly enjoyed being held by all momma's friends, then snoozing through the rest of the visit!) We also got to visit William's great aunt Barb and uncle Jim, where he got to meet some of his second cousins. Of course we also spent a lot of time at Grandma and Grandpa's house where he was thoroughly spoiled. We had a great time, and even better, William did wonderfully on the plane and made his momma very happy!

William's First Christmas

Bath time with Grandma

William was lucky enough to have the opportunity to meet his other set of grandparents and his other uncle during Christmas! Grandma and Grandpa Gonnsen ,or Grandma and Grandpa "G" as we like to call them,  and uncle Alex with his beautiful fiance Alix flew into Portland on Christmas eve and stayed a whole week! We had such a wonderful time visiting with everyone, it just went by so quick. William enjoyed every minute of the non-stop attention, especially from Grandma G who didn't want to put him down, and Will had no problem with that, neither did his mom! We all got lots of great presents. William was especially spoiled with very cute outfits, toys, and even his first "cellphone" from great-aunt Barb! All-in-all it was an amazing Christmas for us, one we will not forget. Of course the worst part was saying goodbye to everyone. Now we are very thankful for video chatting online!

Lets Catch Up...

Thanksgiving...Much to be thankful for!

William, or Will, is almost three months old now so I guess I have some catching up to do. After he was born my mom was wonderful enough to stay with us and help out for the first week. This was especailly nice since it was Thanksgiving week. She not only took care of me while I tried to get used to my new little man but she cleaned our house, took Rose (our dog) out to play every day, cooked each meal and made an amazing Thanksgiving dinner for us. My dad and brother were able to make it up the day before Thanksgiving making our first holiday with our son a memorable one! Needless to say it was extreamly hard saying goodbye to my family after a great week. There were many tears shed, especially by myself! And so began our life with our new son, here we go!

Our little G

See the beautiful broken bloodvessels in my eyelids...all in a days hard work, and worth every minute!

We had a baby boy! His name is William James Gonnsen, born November 20th, 2011. He was 7 lbs. 4.8 oz. and 18 inches long. He is beautiful. It took me forever to post this because I forgot how to log into this account, and we have been a little busy! Oh, he just woke up so I will have to continue this later!
